Season Two

The following is a condensed version of my second round through the monomyth (aka: Season Two). I left out a lot of superfluous detail because I just want to show you how challenges begin to “level up” as you do, by using my life as a more relatable example than the one I used in my earlier blog because, let’s face it, you’re not anywhere close to resembling Teddy Goddamn Roosevelt, and neither am I. However, I have put in the work, and so can you.

Escaping my family’s restrictive faith, getting married, becoming a father, getting divorced, leaving and returning to my careers in the health and fitness field, and overcoming alcoholism was a hell of a lot of battles for me and brought Season One of my saga to a somewhat neat conclusion in the beginning of 2019. By the spring of that year, I was doing my best to enjoy the new equilibrium in my life and had even found a cute, little girlfriend to keep on my arm for a time, but my Ordinary World had a serious problem brewing underneath it.

About a year prior I had quit my job at the spa to focus on teaching Pilates because it gave me more time freedom to focus on building my coaching brand while making a sustainable income. By this point in the story, however, that work was beginning to dry up as more clients quit, and fewer new clients came in to fill the slots, causing me to use my credit cards just to get by, all while trying to figure out how to…
